On August 2, 2024, the Federation of Indian Publishers  successfully organized the Indian Publishers Conference 2024 at The Lalit, New Delhi. Hon’ble Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, and Hon’ble Shri Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Corporate Affairs, graced the conference as chief guests. The conference brought together leading voices in the publishing industry, creating a vibrant platform for insightful discussions on emerging trends, key challenges, and future opportunities. The event was a resounding success, filled with thought-provoking sessions, valuable knowledge exchange, and meaningful networking.

FIP, in addition to felicitating the sponsors of IPC 2024, had the privilege of recognizing distinguished contributors as “Friends of Publishing,” including Dr. Baldeo Bhai Sharma, Mr. Ankit Sahni, and Dr. M. A. Sikandar. The “Pioneer in Intellectual Property & Innovation Award” was presented to Prof. (Dr.) Unnat P. Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks (CGPDTM), DPIIT, and Professor of IP, Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Jawaharlal Nehru University, for his outstanding contributions to the field.
